Gratitude

Hart explains in his book, The Secret Spiritual World Of Children (2003), “Feeling a sense of appreciation vibrates the heart; expressing it makes it sing.” He says often all that is required for the heart of love and caring to rise to the surface are simple questions such as: What’s one thing that you’re thankful for? How does a special person or creature in your life make you feel? How would your life feel without them? When they have identified someone you might ask: Can you send that person your feeling of thanks? Maybe through a prayer, a hug tonight that lasts a little longer than usual, a note, a word, or just a warm thought.
“The next best thing we can do with challenge is to be grateful for it… Gratitude is an energy that works miracles in all our dimensions… Gratitude releases a tremendous healing power within the structure of our cells; it is like a miniature atomic explosion…that is why we are told to be grateful: we are empowered by gratitude. Gratitude is a choice, in time it becomes a habit. Gratitude is an energy that unlocks the power of conscious change. Gratitude actually energizes your prayers and intentions.”
