Anatomy Of The Ear
There are three parts to the ear, the external ear, the middle ear, and the inner ear. Each is integral to the process of hearing, transforming subtle invisible vibrations into sounds that the brain perceives. The outer parts of the ear rarely have problems, but the middle ear is vulnerable to bacterial, viral and fungal infections. The inner ear is responsible for balance, and is also vulnerable to infections.
The outer ear is the part that one can see, skin and cartilage, the folds of the ear.
The middle ear contains the eardrum (tympanic membrane) and is cone shaped, 1/2” across, and 1/50th” thick. This is the entrance from the outer ear to the middle ear and three tiny bones in the body (hammer, anvil and stirrup) and together they make up the ossicle. The ossicle triples the incoming sound, acting as an amplifier, and turns the sound into mechanical energy in the middle ear. This energy then passes through the oval window, an opening that sends the sound to the inner ear. As it passes through the oval window, the sound is amplified 30 times more. The middle ear is also connected to the back of the throat, and this is how air, viruses, bacteria and other materials can reach the ear canal from the nose. The Eustachian tube from the throat helps keep the middle ear air pressure equal to outside air, however, the drawback is that it is the most likely avenue for infection to enter the ear canal.
The inner ear begins after the oval window where there is a spiral shaped
chamber lined with tiny hairs and filled with fluid. This spiral shaped
part is called the cochlea (Latin word for snail shell) and is about 3/4”
to 1/2” in diameter. The movements of the fluid, influenced by the
ossical, are transmitted through the auditory nerve to the brain. Damage
to the cochlea results in deafness and tinnitis (ringing in the ears).
The labyrinth is several semicircular canals filled with fluid. These
are made up of three connected tubes, which are then connected to the
vestibular nerve. This completes the transmittal of sound to the brain.
This is the part that is essential to physical balance.
Check the internet for a picture of ear
coning being done. This site contains the complete ear coning guide. Ear
candling is still to be practiced with caution. There is a ton of information
on ear candling and aura cleansing on this site. Begin the work towards
cleansing your mind body and soul. Aura cleansing can cleanse the inner
as well as outer body. Infection in the ear are common, ear cleansing
can sometimes minimize this. Inner ear infection can sometimes lead to
hearing loss so it is essential to reduce the occurrence of them. The
symptom that makes an ear infection uncomfortable is pain; no one wants
to experience excessive pain when they do not have to. The home remedy
for an ear infection may be ear candling. This home remedy, however, should
only be attempted by an adult. A child or baby tends to get ear infections
more often because their ear anatomy is different and they are typically
spreading bacteria more, less conscious of the idea that germs can spread
infection.
