Full Spectrum Lighting
Another simple use of technology is the use of full spectrum lighting. Full spectrum lighting is a process that uses specifically designed lighting fixtures that mimic the full spectrum of colors provided by our sun’s rays. The purpose is to treat Seasonal Affective Disorder, a psychological malady that is brought on by the deprivation of light. This is generally a result of the changing of summer, with its bright sunshiny days, to the fall season, with its shorter and darker day-time periods. The onset of this change can result in depression and lack of energy. The use of full spectrum lighting fixtures allows for the same kind of light energy that the sun offers.
